Foundation
Opens New Office in Riverboat Marina
Discover
the Delta Foundation has opened a new
office and volunteer center in the Riverboat
Marina on the Delta Loop. Located in
donated space, the office serves as a
center of activity for business, fundraising,
continued planning for the Discover the
Delta Information Center and for recruiting
new supporters to the organization.
Located
in a commercial space next to the Moore's
Riverboat Restaurant, the office is a
gathering place for foundation contractors
and volunteers, who will be working on
a membership building campaign. It contains photographs,
architectural drawings, floor plans and
other information to provide an update
on the new center, which will located at
highways 12 and 160 just east of Rio Vista.
Visitors will also be able to see examples
and locations of the “ENTERING CALIFORNIA
DELTA” signs that are being erected
on state highway entrances to the California
Delta. The new location provides visitors
with interpretive displays about the geologic
history and a wide range of issues related
to the California Delta.
In addition, the
office houses the expanding supplies
of Discover the Delta Foundation logo
items that are made available as membership
premiums. These include t-shirts, window
stickers, coffee cups and the popular "ENTERING
CALIFORNIA DELTA" signs that are
mounted on foam boards.
Those interested
in the issues are welcomed to drop in
to the center to meet with the directors,
consultants and volunteers who work in
the office. The contact information for
the foundation will remain unchanged:
phone, 916-777-4442; e-mail, info@discoverthedelta.org ;
web site, www.discoverthedelta.org ;
mailing address, P.O. Box 609, Isleton,

new office is 106 West Brannan Island
Road on the Delta Loop.

have a volunteer available in the
office seven days per week.
Volunteers are needed to help produce
printed material, get mailing packets
ready, contact businesses, prepare
and deliver follow up items, assist
with a direct mail campaign, enter
names into the computer database
and more.
For information or to become a volunteer,
contact the foundation office at
